One Tough Cookie!

So we know our girl is becoming strong willed, but we learned she is also just STRONG! She loves to play in my jewelry armoire and open the draws to get out my "pretties" aka bracelets. She was in our bedroom playing with the "pretties" and I was in the kitchen getting her a snack. All of the sudden I hear a loud crash and her screaming. I run in to find the armoire knocked over! Miss Avery had pulled the whole thing over on top of her. Poor baby!!! I felt so bad! I think it scared her more than anything because she was fine in two seconds after I picked her up to console her and gave her some animal crackers. Nothing like emotional eating...ha! One of the drawers must have hit her under her eye because she had a bruise for a few days. Needless to say, the armoire is now nailed to the wall thanks to Daddy!

Fun Weekend!

We had a fun filled weekend! We went out to eat a JJ Twigs on Friday night and enjoyed the best pizza. It was a great night to eat outside! After pizza we went to the new frozen yogurt place for dessert! I think Avery takes after me with the whole ice cream obsession! She can't get enough of it! She cried when it was all gone! Ha!

Saturday we went to the Botanical Gardens and walked around for a few hours. The weather was a little sketchy before we headed out but by the time we got there it was perfect!

We fed the fish, Avery got a kick out of watching the giant koi!

We then headed over to the Hill to eat lunch outside at Milo's. We sat right next to the bocci ball area and Avery loved watching some guys play! We walked around the Hill for a bit then ended our day with some gelato! Avery missed out on the gelato, she was too busy...

Busted!

Miss Avery was being really quiet the other day while I was folding laundry...I soon found out why! I peeked in and she came running out as if she knew she got caught! SO CUTE!!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all of the Dad's, Grandpa's, and Uncles that we have! The weather was beautiful and we spent the day with family. We had a Psghettis lunch at my parents house and went over the Johnny's Grandma and Grandpa's house for some BBQ. So good! I meant to get a picture of Avery and my dad and brother, but left without taking any...whoops!

I did manage to get a pic of Avery "riding" our family dog Abby.

I LOVE this picture!!! Happy Father's Day Johnny! You are the best Daddy to our Avery. She adores you and I love seeing the two of you together!

Avery was a busy girl over at Grandma and Grandpa's...

she enjoyed (scarfed down) some watermelon,

rode in a wagon,

and played in the sprinkler!

Race for the Cure

Saturday morning Avery and I joined Marcia and Connor for Race for the Cure. We walked in the 5k and the kids did GREAT! I have done the race several times before but adding a stroller to the mix was definitely a new experience! We had so much fun and will definitely do it again next year!

As far as you could see in front of you and behind was a sea of people, all walking to support a great cause. It was an AMAZING sight, and that's an understatement!
