6 Months Old!!!

I am 6 months old today!!! I went to the doctor today for my 6 month check up and I got a clean bill of health! Dr. G said I am right on track and doing great! She's not worried about my social skills AT ALL, I smiled and laughed at her the entire appointment! She even called me nosy 'cause I was so interested in everything she was doing! I weigh 15.5lbs. and am 26.75 inches long, I'm tall and thin! Daddy says I'm gonna be a model. What am I up to? I am sitting up by myself which I love because I can play with my toys better. I sit in my high chair now to eat. I think I'm such a big girl when I'm sitting up so high, I'm so proud of myself! I am eating all kinds of food now, my favorites are oatmeal, bananas, pears, apples, sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes! I had mashed potatoes for the first time on Thanksgiving and I LOVED them! I've always loved bath time but now I love it even more 'cause I figured out how to splash. I blow raspberries all the time. I babble, squeal and laugh constantly especially at Mommy and Daddy! I have two teeth! My two front bottom ones, and Dr. G said my two front top ones will be coming in soon! I love music and when you sing to me especially "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!" I always smile when I hear that song! I love to watch Olivia on Nick Jr. (mommy puts it on when she wants to clean) I love doggies, especially Abby and Lucy and my Aunt Lynne's new puppy Deeva! I am curious about everything and want to touch everything I see! Dr. G also told Mommy and Daddy that they need to start babyproofing our house 'cause I'm gonna be crawling really soon! Watch out!

Avery- I can't believe you are 6 months old already! Everyone says it goes by so fast and it really has! You are the sweetest little angel! Happy Half Birthday baby girl we love you more than you know! Love, Momma & Daddy

I had to throw in a pic of her sitting in front of her Christmas tree!

Give Thanks

Thanksgiving was a long but fun day for all of us! We started off the day by having brunch at Aunt Lynne & Uncle George's house. They had just gotten a new puppy "Deeva" and Avery was mesmerized by this new little ball of fur! Avery loves dogs, and is used to my parents' big labs but this puppy was definitely more her size!

Deeva all curled up in her bed. She is the cutest dog! I still think Avery needs a puppy of her own!

Cousin Evan

Uncle Ike stole her away from everyone! Avery didn't mind at all!

Then it was back to our house for dinner/late lunch. No, I didn't make the turkey, my mom brought it. Someday I'll be brave enough to cook the turkey! :)

Sitting with Great Grandma. Avery just kept smiling at her and my grandma loved every minute of her!

playing with Uncle Lukey

Avery's first snow!!! It wasn't much, just a light dusting, but it was pretty!

Eating mashed potatoes for the first time, despite this face, she LOVED them! She also ate cranberry sauce and a little bit of green bean casserole. She loved everything!

being silly with Uncle Lukey (I LOVE this picture!)

We ended the day at Johnny's grandparents' house for more food and desserts! For some reason Avery is the center of attention everywhere we go! :)

Johnny & I are so thankful for all we have...especially this little turkey! Happy Thanksgiving!

Just Because...

I LOVE these pics of my girl so I just had to share them!

Brooklyn's 1st Birthday Party

We went to Brooklyn's 1st birthday party a few weeks ago. There were so many kids there, it was a lot of fun! I didn't get many pictures though. Brooklyn is the cutest little girl with a huge personality, everyone says she's gonna be an actress someday! Every time someone would start to sing Happy Birthday to her she would clap, it was adorable! Happy Birthday Brooklyn, we love you!

Eating her giant cupcake!

After she changed out of her cake filled tutu it was present time!

Miss Avery fell asleep at the end of the party

A Couple of Firsts

Avery has had a few firsts lately. A few weeks after she turned 5 months old she started to sit up on her own. She needs some support, but she's pretty good at it! We also have started to put her in her high chair to feed her.

First time in her high chair!

A Visit from the Cousins

Aunt Lynne brought Evan & Alex over for a visit to see Avery. The boys couldn't believe how big she had gotten since the last time they had seen her! They were really cute playing with her!

Alex wiping his face after Avery slobbered all over him! So funny!

Sweet picture!

Happy Halloweekend!

This post is waaay late, but the crazy retail world has left me little free time, add that to a slow computer & I've gotten behind on our blog. I'll try to catch up! Our Halloween weekend started off Friday night at Johnny's mom & dad's house. We ate dinner and carved our pumpkins. It's a tradition that we kind of have a competition on whose is the best. I think Laura's was the winner this year! Saturday we cleaned the house and got ready for our party on Sunday. Halloween night we had family over, everyone was excited to see Avery in her costume. Mike, Marcia and Connor stopped by on their way to their family's get together. The kids were cute in their costumes together! Our neighborhood gets a little crazy on Halloween, everyone decorates their driveways, sets up tables and firepits and hands out candy and treats all night! It was a lot of fun! I can't wait til next year when Avery's a little bigger!

Avery wanted to get out of her carseat herself when she got to Grandma & Grandpa's! This picture cracks me up!

Enjoying her new walker Grandma got her!

Grandpa's Halloween tree

Our little Dorothy! She was so cute, I must say! She loved her Toto although she wanted to chew on him all night!

She obviously couldn't wait to get out of this pose! Johnny's face says it all, "Hurry up and take the picture!"

She was infatuated with her ruby slippers. A girl loves her shoes!

Our candy corn tree, you can't tell unless you're up close, but I thought they were cute! I was never really into decorating for Halloween, but now with Avery it's so much more fun to decorate for every holiday! I don't know if Johnny thinks it's as fun as I do! :)

Our pumpkins, Avery's is in front, a little ghost with a bow of course! :)

Laura's pumpkin was the third one back. It was a scary tree, it was really cool!

Dorothy & her Lion buddy

Align Center"Avery, can't you sit still like me?" "They're trying to take our picture!"

Kevin's first time holding a baby! He looks like a natural!

Avery fell asleep on Cousin Lauren after a long day & night. Lauren did a great job of putting Avery to bed that night!
