Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to my Dad and Father-in-Law, and especially to my hubby!  Johnny, you are such a great dad and I can't help but smile every time I see you with Avery.  We love you!

Happy 4th of July!!!

Our day was full of bbq, playing in the pool, fireworks and H-O-T weather!!!  Apparently no one in our neighborhood abided by the "no fireworks allowed" warning, so we enjoyed a great show from our front porch.  Every time Avery would hear one, she would yell "BOOM!"  We even let her hold a loooong sparkler...she loved it and kept asking for more when they would burn out.  (of course I was a nervous wreck while she held them, but she did a great job!) 

 

Memorial Day 2012

We had a great Memorial Day spent with family at Johnny's Grandpa and Grandma's house.  We bbq'd, played games and Avery cooled off in her pool.  I am so thankful to be off work for a few days!

Mother's Day 2012

 Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there, especially to my mom and mother-in-law!  We love you and appreciate all you do for us! We also want to say Happy Mother's Day to our grandma's, aunts, and mommy friends!

I thank God every day that I get to be the Mommy of this little punkin'!!!

Backyard Fun!

Johnny poured the concrete pad at the bottom of the stairs to our deck and we thought it would be fun to put Avery's handprint in it. She, of course, did not think this was fun at all so it didn't turn out that great but at least we got somewhat of an imprint. I think it will be neat (and sad) to look back years from now and see how tiny her hand was!

1st Cardinals Game!

We took Avery to her 1st (of many to come) Cardinals game today! We were lucky enough to have tickets given to us. It was opening weekend against the Cubs. We weren't sure how she would do, especially because she didn't take a nap, but she did GREAT! On the way there we kept telling her about Fredbird (I don't even think she knew who we were talking about) so the whole time she kept asking for Fredbird. When he finally came out onto the field she got so excited and kept waving to him. Keep in mind we were pretty high up so there was no way he could possibly see her waving, but it was still the cutest thing ever! She enjoyed the typical ballpark food, especially her nachos and popcorn! She had the best time, she clapped right along and when the Cards hit a homerun she loved the fireworks! What a great memory of her first game, and to top it off the Cardinals ended up hitting two homeruns and brought home a WINNER!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

We took Avery to the St. Patrick's Day parade downtown on Saturday. Our neighbors had a tent set up with a port a potty and all so it was perfect! The weather couldn't have been more beautiful!!! The crazy thunderstorms held off long enough for us to see the entire parade! It only started pouring on our way home. Avery LOVED the parade! She kept pointing and clapping, she had a ball!

Later in the day, Mike, Marcia and Connor came over for a bbq. We watched the kids chase each other all night, I'm guessing they both slept good that night!
