This Momma enjoyed a much needed Girls Night Out at the New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys concert! The girls and I had a BLAST!!! (to say the least) We had so much fun screaming our heads off like we were 12 years old again! We like the Backstreet Boys but we were there to see these guys!Joey, Jon, Jordan, Danny and Donnie

Lil' Bookworm

Avery LOVES books and this is her new favorite place to read them! She will grab a book and go sit in the floatie, it's hilarious!

Family Visit

A couple of weeks ago mom, Avery and I went out to my Aunt Rosemary's house to visit. My mom's cousins Donna and Rosie and her daughter Kelsey were in town visiting from California. My Aunt Patty, Uncle Kenny and Cousin David were there also. We had a great time visiting and Avery was the center of attention of course! We celebrated Big John's birthday with BBQ and music, just the way he likes it! After we ate, Cousin Nick treated us to a mini backyard concert. He is soo good!

We took Avery to a park to watch fireworks on the 4th of July. She loved them and kept clapping! So cute!

One Tough Cookie!

So we know our girl is becoming strong willed, but we learned she is also just STRONG! She loves to play in my jewelry armoire and open the draws to get out my "pretties" aka bracelets. She was in our bedroom playing with the "pretties" and I was in the kitchen getting her a snack. All of the sudden I hear a loud crash and her screaming. I run in to find the armoire knocked over! Miss Avery had pulled the whole thing over on top of her. Poor baby!!! I felt so bad! I think it scared her more than anything because she was fine in two seconds after I picked her up to console her and gave her some animal crackers. Nothing like emotional eating...ha! One of the drawers must have hit her under her eye because she had a bruise for a few days. Needless to say, the armoire is now nailed to the wall thanks to Daddy!

Fun Weekend!

We had a fun filled weekend! We went out to eat a JJ Twigs on Friday night and enjoyed the best pizza. It was a great night to eat outside! After pizza we went to the new frozen yogurt place for dessert! I think Avery takes after me with the whole ice cream obsession! She can't get enough of it! She cried when it was all gone! Ha!

Saturday we went to the Botanical Gardens and walked around for a few hours. The weather was a little sketchy before we headed out but by the time we got there it was perfect!

We fed the fish, Avery got a kick out of watching the giant koi!

We then headed over to the Hill to eat lunch outside at Milo's. We sat right next to the bocci ball area and Avery loved watching some guys play! We walked around the Hill for a bit then ended our day with some gelato! Avery missed out on the gelato, she was too busy...
